9/11 Uterine & Endometrial Cancer Claims

The 9/11 attacks were devastating, and even now, years later, thousands of survivors across America are diagnosed with 9/11-related cancer or other illnesses every year — including many cases of uterine cancer.

After decades of scientific and medical research, 9/11 toxins have been recognized as a cause of uterine cancer, including endometrial cancer, and were recently approved by the WTC Health Program (WTCHP) as a certified WTC-related health condition.

If you or someone you know are either experiencing symptoms of uterine cancer or have been diagnosed with this condition, you may now be eligible for lifetime medical care from the WTCHP and a cash award funded by the September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF) — you did not have to be present on 9/11 to qualify.

We understand a cancer diagnosis can be an incredibly difficult time for you and your family, but you are not alone.

The 9/11 attorneys at Cannata, Hendele & Cannata are among the most respected VCF lawyers in the country, and have over 20 years of experience helping members of the 9/11 community like yourself navigate the complex VCF claims process.

How our 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund lawyers can help

A uterine cancer diagnosis can come as a shock. You and your family may have questions about your next steps and may be unsure if you qualify for free lifetime health care and compensation from the 9/11 Victim Compensation Fund (VCF).

Many people we talk with are surprised to learn they may are still eligible for a VCF payout, even if they weren't present at Ground Zero on 9/11. You didn’t have to be involved in the cleanup as a first responder — if you were a resident, student, visitor, or someone who worked there, you could be eligible.

For those affected, navigating the strict filing requirements of a VCF claim can be very difficult. From WTCHP certification to critical deadlines and the complex proof of presence requirements needed to file a VCF claim, even a small error or omission can cause your claim to be delayed or even denied.

We help ease this burden.

Based in New York City, the experienced team of 9/11 lawyers at Cannata, Hendele & Cannata have recovered over $300 Million for victims and survivors of the September 11th attacks, and will help ensure you receive the best possible outcome.

We work closely with each client to ensure all requirements are met and documentation is properly submitted to maximize your benefits and reduce any unnecessary delays or denials.

Our goal is to provide not only the best legal representation but also give you the one-on-one attention you deserve and help eliminate your stress and uncertainty throughout the VCF claim process.

Am I eligible for a 9/11 uterine cancer payout?

The September 11th Victim Compensation Fund (VCF), commonly referred to as the Zadroga 9/11 Health and Compensation Act, was established by Congress to compensate members of the 9/11 community diagnosed with WTCHP-certified cancer(s) or health condition(s).

To be eligible for compensation from the VCF, your illness or condition (such as uterine cancer) must be certified by the World Trade Center Health Program.

For a uterine cancer diagnosis to be certified, an individual must meet the program's proof of presence requirements, including documentation that shows you lived, worked, attended school, or were present near Ground Zero (south of Houston Street), the NYC disaster areas, or either Pentagon or  Shanksville, Pennsylvania crash site on 9/11 or in the eight months the followed.

It can be challenging to obtain proof as time goes on due to the simple changes in everyone's lives, like moves or changes in employment, but our knowledgable 9/11 uterine cancer lawyers will work tirelessly to collect the necessary medical records and proof of presence to ensure a successful claim.
